The Environmental and Ecological Modelling Summer School will train researchers on analysis of complex environmental and ecological questions and will take place in Victoria B.C. in the summer of 2026.

These questions include dynamics of transients and outbreaks (eg, invasions, wildlife disease, fire, mountain pine beetle outbreaks, greenhouse gas emissions), long-term prediction and forecasting (eg, population dynamics, species distributions, risk assessment of industrial toxins to species) and ecological dynamics under environmental change (eg, global warming, habitat destruction).

Methods will include dynamical systems, machine learning, and statistical inference.
