Azadeh Aghaeeyan

Azadeh’s areas of research are modeling, analysis, and control of emerging dynamics in natural and synthetic systems. The title of her project is Identifiability analysis of decision-making dynamics.

Silas Poloni Lyra

Silas is a Postdoctoral Fellow, at the University of Victoria, supervised by Mark Lewis and Frithjof Lutscher (UOttawa), His area of research is theoretical ecology and the title of his project is Mathematical Models for evolutionary processes in range-shift phenomena.

Clotilde Djuikem

Clotilde is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Manitoba, supervised by Julien Arino. Clotilde’s areas of research are mathematical epidemiology, deterministic and stochastic models. The title of her project is Study the transmission of viral pathogens among four fish species in the Western Canadian Arctic, considering the impact of climate change.

Victor Ogesa Juma

Victor is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, supervised by Anotida Madzvamuse and Leah Edelstein-Keshet. His areas of research are mathematical and computational biology, cell motility, data-driven mathematical models and parameter estimation.

Maria Kuruvilla

Maria is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Victoria, supervised by Mark Lewis. Maria’s areas of research are quantitative ecology, salmon population modelling, salmon migration modelling and collective behaviour. The title of her project is Modelling forestry effects on salmon populations.

Konstantinos Mamis

Konstantinos is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Washington, supervised by Ivana Bozic. His areas of research are mathematical oncology and stochastic dynamics. The title of Konstantinos’ project is Modeling the initiation and evolution of colorectal cancer.

Inesh Munaweera

Inesh is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta, supervised by Mark Lewis and Laura Cowen (UVic). Inesh’s areas of research are bayesian statistics, state-space modelling and mark-recapture studies and the title of his project is Estimates of Population Size and Life History Parameters of Lake Sturgeon in the Saskatchewan River system from volunteer angler data.

Simon is a Research Assistant, supervised by Ailene Macpherson at Simon Fraser University. Simon’s areas of research are modeling local adaptation. The title of Simon’s project is A statistical examination of local adaptation throughout the life cycle.
