The first MMI in-person meeting will take place at UBC Vancouver, scheduled from September 26th to September 29th. The schedule is as follows:

  • HQP Summit: September 26th evening to September 28th mid-day
  • Working Groups Meetings: September 28th mid-day to September 29th mid-day

 Thursday Sept 26 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM – UBC Iona Building (IONA), Room 301 (5:00-8:00): 

  • 5:00 PM Arrival
  • 5:15 PM Introduction and welcome (Mark Lewis, Dan Coombs)
  • 5:30 PM Dinner and ice-breaker activity
  • 7:00 PM Research talk – Anotida Madzvamuse – “Analysis and simulations of bulk-surface reaction-diffusion systems”
  • 7:30 PM Research talk – Eric Foxall – “Paths to extinction: diffusion, rare events, and the role of
    criticality”
  • 8:00 PM Finish
