Friday, July 11th
- 4:00-5:00 PM Meet at covered area in Emily Murphy Park – Picnic Site 1 (Registration table)
- 5:00-6:30 PM BBQ in Emily Murphy Park
- 6:30-8:30 PM Ice-breaker activities “speed dating” & games
Saturday, July 12th
- 8:00 am – Registration table (2nd floor CAB)
- 8:30 AM – Working Groups all together for intro & orientation (CAB 239)
- 9:00 AM – intro talk – 1 minute presentation of poster (split by WG)
- 9:30-10:30 AM – poster session per WG
- 10:30 AM – Coffee break
- 11:00 AM – Session with the three groups (activity based on the suggestions from the individual groups) (CAB 239, 269 & 273)
- Reading a scientific paper (Run by HDM working group Clotilde, Ghazale and Alex) – Speaker – Micheal Li (UAlberta)
- Grant proposal writing (someone with experience on a review panel Maria, Esha and Shan) (Run by EEF working group) – Speaker – Troy Day (Queen’s)
- Career advice (Run by QMP working group Dominik, Konstantinos and Negar) – Carlos Contreras (ATB, Edmonton), Valeria Giunta (Swansea), Konstantinos (Washington)
- 12:15-12:30 PM – Group comes back together for overview (CAB 239)
- 12:30-1:30 PM – Lunch
- 2:00-4:00 PM – Hike – meet outside CAB. Hike through the river valley to cafe Kaffa (about 1.5 hrs)
- 5:00 PM – Faculty Club (dinner 6:15 to 9:00 pm)
- 5:00–6:00 pm – 2024 Accelerator Award Recipients – Short talks at Faculty Club before dinner (cash bar)
- 6:15 PM – Dinner
Sunday, July 13th
- 8:00 am – Registration table (CCIS 1-140)
- 8:30-10:15 AM – EDI session with Lisa Willis (CCIS 1-140)
- 10:15-10:30 AM – MMI Closing remarks
- 10:30 AM – Coffee break
- 10:30 to 11:30 AM – Poster session (all together)
- 11:30-5:30 PM – Stacey Smith? Early Career Workshop – Joint with SMB (CCIS 1-140)
- 1:00 PM – LUNCH
