- Salmon Coast Society (SCS, NGO) This project uses dynamical systems and stochastic processes, coupled to large datasets, to assess the impacts of historical forestry practices on salmon productivity, as measured by salmon returns. (M.A. Lewis lead)
- TRIA-FoR Project (Transformative Risk Assessment and Forest Resilience Using Genomic Tools for the Mountain Pine Beetle Outbreak, research consortium https://tria-for.ualberta.ca/) This project evaluates how to improve the resilience of pine trees to mountain pine beetle spread to mitigate the impact of future outbreaks. Models yield landscape scale predictions of future outbreaks, based on statistical models, machine learning, and dynamical systems, all coupled to massive datasets. (M.A. Lewis lead)
